I celebrate the Christmas having a dinner wiht my grandparents the Christmas eve.
The Christmas's day i have a lunch with my grandparents and then we exchange the presents, during the aftrenoon i go at the cinema with my friends.
A thing that I like of the Christmas is the union of the family.
Speaking sincerely, at the 90% i like Christmas only for the presents, but i think that i'm not the only one, I don't mean that it'isn't an important celebration, but i think also, that in Italy, some people exchange the Christmas day as one day that the people are happy because they receive the presents.
We celebrate Christmas meeting all our relatives, who we do not often see during the year and we give each other gifts.
For us the Christmas is very important and it is a essential tradition.
And..Merry Christmas and Happy New Year=)

I think Crhistmas is the best day of the winter. First of all on the Christmas holidays the students don't go to school but they stay at home when they can relax a lot. At the Christmas Eve I have dinner with my grandparents and at 11.30 I go to Midnight mass. At Christmas I have lunch with my relatives every year and I will eat a lot, in the afternoon I think I will go out with my friends. Christmas is a very important day: children love this day for the gifts that they receive, while for the adults is a religious and traditional day. For the children this date is fantastic for Santa Claus who brings a lot of gifts for them. I hope that I and my friends will spend a beautiful Christmas holidays! Merry Christmas!

In Poland christmas starts on Christmas Eve. This is the day when most of families decorate thier Christmas tree. The most important part of the day is the evening, when people share a Christmas wafer and wish everybody all the best for the future. Then they eat Christmas Eve Supper. The table has a wite tablecloth with some hay under it. The hay reminds us of Jesus and where He was born. There is always an extra plate in case someone cames unexpectedly. On that particular night everybody is welcome into your house. There are usually twelve different dishes. There in no meat, but there is lots of fish, usually herring and fried carp. There is also sauerkraut, christmas borsch and traditional dumplings with cabbage and mushroom. It is a tradition that you must try every dish. There are a lot of sweet things to eat as well: cheesecake poppy seed cake and, everybody's favourite, ginger cake. We drink a tratitional drink made from dried fruit. After supper we sing or listen to Christmas carols and wait for Santa Claus to come. Sometimes presents appear suddenly under the Christmas tree, sometimes there is a big bag on the doorsteps, and smoetimes Santa appears in preson and gives the presents to the family! At midnight we go to church to Midnight Mass. We pray and sing to celebrate the birht of Baby Jesus. We usually spend the next to days with family and friends. It's the best time of the year!
Very interesting, especially the part about the 12 different dishes!
Merry Christmas, Pawel!
One thing`s true, Christmas is very important for the most of people, so it`s meaningful for me. But I don`t exactly know why. Maybe it comes from our childhood, when we looked at the preparations for New Year and Christmas, decorated our Christmas trees, waited for the presents, made souvenirs for our relatives and smelled the tangerines. Then we grow up, but this feelings aren`t changing while the time is going on. As for me, the importance of Christmas is that before this holiday all the people wait for the miracle and again become children just for a little while.

1. At midnight from 6th to 7th January, Russian people celebrate Christmas. At Christmas the Russians cook special meals, which are symbolic(a grilled goose). When Christmas night is over, the main holiday begins-the holiday of peace, relaxation and spiritual comfort. People go to churches. Then they get together with their families and celebrate Christmas at home. There are a few Christmas traditions like guessing and treat or trick games. These special Christmas games are the most popular in our country.
But to be frank, not all people celebrate this festival, the New Year is more important for them. It is when they give each other presents.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!!!!!

It's a pity but most of us are used to expect the coming of the New Year but not Christmas. Years and years back the Russians widely celebrated Christmas . It was the most important festival . It was long ago , before the Revolytion (1917) which broke the celebration. And now we are slowly coming back to this tradition which is really very good ! It's a holy festival . The first step we should do is to bring back faith . Our students , we all wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a New Year song i like:
Happy New Year (2times)
May we all have a vision now and then
Of a world where every neighbour is a friend
Happy New Year (2times)
May we all have our hopes , our will to try
If we don't we might as well lay down and die
You and I

This is how our gymnasium looks like on the eve of the New Year

2. I like Christmas time, because there is a lot of snow everywhere, and I like playing snowballs and skating at a skating-rink. I also like to fall down into snow. But I like this holiday not only for this. I like to get together with my family and celebrate Christmas at home. We give presents to each other and get around the table eating special Christmas meals. We sing together, sometimes we dance. I've got a very large family, and when we get together we are very happy, especially because we get together rather seldom.
I live in a very big family, and I love it very much! Christmas all our family get together in the house of my granny! We aet tasty food, give each other presents. One of my favourite Christmas meal is kutiya. Its our traditional dish. Also I like when all are happy. like Christmas, I think that it's very a kind and wonderful celebration.
