Dear Antonella,
Yes, we have Religious Eduction at school and it`s compulsory. If you are not convinced to attend these classes, you can take up Ethics instead. Students have 2 lessons weekly and they are conducted by priests, nuns and lay people. As far as I know they study the Bible and some knowledge concerning other religions is included. But the main emphasis is put on the Catholic doctrine. What does the situation look like in Italy?
Warmest regards to you and your friend,
Adam
Dear Antonella, I'm afraid the answer will be shorter than Anna expects. It covers all the embedded questions. Neither Religion no its history are tought in our schools. There are no optional courses even if though it doesn't exist at all. Butin our city we have a Religious gymnasium where all the issues are tought. My former student was the princupal but now he isn't. He wanted to turn it into a cultural centre but..
Antonella, did you get my last message where I was dreaming about a camp?
Regards, Nadezhda
Yes, sure. I'll add the photo. Actually, it seems I've already done it but it turns out I've failed. Can we chat when we are on line?
You are right thinking Religion is not tought in state schools. There are very few private in Voronezh and I'm not sure about their schedule.
And I'll arrange the students in ABC order but a little later. I don't have the Inet at home now ( it's being repaired) and at school it'll be possible on Saturday I think. Anyway I'll do it as soon as possible.
As for the camps, I say I know people who have already had this experience. One of them is a History teacher from Italy, the other English teacher from Russia.

My Skype address is strueva8@hotmail.com But before you call we'd better fix the time. I don't have the Internet at home now. We'd be glad to aswer Adam's questions. My students like power point presentations and they are good at them. Could you include Italian words for us to learn them. With English translation?
Our winter holidays start on Dec.29 (as soon as we don't selebrate Christmas before the New Year) and finish on Jan.11 (we selebrate Russian Christmas on Jan.7).
At the moment we are having 2week tests and exams time. Perhaps of that students won't be very active on the site or I might be mistaken... As I know they are going to write about Christmas in Russia.
I will think over how to arrange our Skype chat from other place than my home.
Thank you very much! Antonella, to be frank, I can't arrange my students in ABC order. I just don't know how to do it. Could you help me with advice? Tnak you.
Dear Antonella, thank you for appriciation. The truth is I'm not very familiar with the site tools and I can't guess how to delete my student's long text. I asked him to write an explanation why we celebrate Xmas in January and he explained... He was supposed to write a few lines in English but everything seems important to him. And one more thing. First, I agreed to register all those who wanted but now I think only those who are really ready to work can stay. What do you think?
But you say there are too many students... I have tried the cross but.. I'll try again. Do you think that the Poles can read that text? The information there is really very interesting. It explains a lot.
In this picture I'm in Moscow in American Embassy. The reception is to honour those who became finalists of the TEA program (Teaching Excellence Awards). I've been there twice and each time I had no appetite. What a pity! I was too excited to enjoy the meals.
I'm glad to have had an answer from Angelo ( who knows how to organize a camp). He says the idea is great. Hope he can help. Merry Christmas and happy New Year.
Dear Antonella, I've just read the message on your Skype VC with the Polish. Excuse me, but I didn't get you very well. What for should I register all my students? We have had VCs without registering all the participants. Or..? What sort of conference was it? Did they communicate individually? Or how? We have a camera and a microphone. All the students get together in front of the screen. The same about yours. You call me or I call you (I don't know the address)and we start talking. Could you explaim me the process?
Regads, Nadya
Could we chat with you now as soos as we are on-line?
Dear Antonella, dear all (I just don't know how to add a comment on the main page to address everyone).
On these holy days (for me it's not very inportant what religion it is -the most important thing is what there is inside our hearts), so, on these holy days I'm happy to share this poem with you.
I have a warm and friendly feeling
As I think of you today,
And I wish that you could visit
But you're many miles away
Friens through correspondence,
Still your face I need not see
For your soul shines through the words
Every time you write to me.
You have enriched my life, my dear,
And I'm glad God willed we meet,
"Friendship's Road" is much that nicer
Travelling it with one so sweet.
Hi Antonella,
The dictionary site looks great. I`ll do the same with the song as you did and we`ll prepare a short webquest for your and Nadya`s students so you`ll be able to see what it is all about.
Warmest greetings,
Adam
Antonella, how are you?
I've been to the "dictionary" page and I've registed to have an access to pbwiki. As soon as I'm approved I'll get my students add the words.
