Dear Adam,
How do you like this site?
It is a national holiday today, so we are all at home, relaxing and getting familiar with this social network. It seems my students like it very much. ..It is All Saints'Day, and also the Remembrance Day, or the Day of the Dead. People go to cemeteries to commemorate their loved and missed ones. I am going, too. Later, I am going to the cinema with Daniele, to see a German film about the sad story of the German Red Brigades.
If I have time, I will start preparing the presentation of the project and when the draft is ready, I will email it to you for your approval.
Hi Adam.
Thanks for registering 13 more students. I understand two more, who are ill now, will register soon.
We are looking forward to seeing your students'photos.
Have a nice day!
Antonella
Hi Adam..
The ice has broken...!!
Our students should avoid writing in their mother tongue, shouldn't they?
Tomorrow morning I will remind them to avoid writing in Italian.
Bye for now,
Antonella
Hi Adam!
Francesco replied that inserting a questionnaire is very eady, getting the students to vote is a bit more difficult, but he can work it out, if that is what you mean to do.
I am eager to know the results of American elections. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope that Barak Obama will win!
Hi Adam,
I am quite satisfied with the way things are going on as far as our project is concerned.
Some of my students have started naming the most important things in their lives, and so has one student of yours..
THE ICE HAS BROKEN..
Hopefully some more will join tomorrow and in the next days..
Dear Adam,
our students sometimes chat in their mother tongues, not In English. Do you think we should tell them again to try to use English all the time?
Thanks.
Kind regards,
Antonella
Dear Adam,
my Religious Education colleague is very interested in knowing how this subject is currently taught in your country.
In Italy it became an optional subject a few years ago..When I was a student, it was compulsory.
She would like to know:
- if it is optional or compulsory in Poland
- how many hours a week of RE your students have
- do they read the Bible or the Gospel? Do teachers go through the history of different religions all over the world? Or do they just deal with the history of Cristianity and Catholic religion?
- Is the subject taught by priests or lay people?
Dear Adam,
have you seen the site http://www.native2009.narod.ru/
created by Nadezha's students? Isn't it wonderful?!
I'll speak to you on Wednesday.
Remember to send me your skype name.

Dear Adam, thank you for the exhibition and, sure, we'll add the pictures but a little later. Just after we've taken the breath. The week is very hard. Thank you and your students for hearty congratulatuons.
Dear Adam, the ideas are great! I think as soon as our vocabulary is ready we could ask students to place the words in the order of importance. It's interesting which they think to be the most and least important. Where would they place the words like"honour", "selfconfidence", "sympathy", generousity", "faith" etc.
And they as well could illustrate the poetry to show the way they see the message. I like what you've suggested very much. Thank you.
Happy Old (Russian) New Year on Jan.13!
Dear Adam, talking about national values, we are supposed to take a certain period of history as values change, unfortunately sometimes. At the moment Russia faces a very complicated period that of having lost social ideals and not having established new ones. We are between two chairs. But there are universal values left. Which have always existed. The project is very interesting, really.
Regards, Nadya
HI Adam,
First of all, how are you? I hope you are fine.
Do you like the way the dictionary is developing.
The new event you have created is interesting and educational.
I hope I will be able to get my students to insert something.
Bye for now.
Antonella
Dear Adam,
how are you? Are you spending nice relaxing holidays? I hope you are.
And I hope that winter has started loosening its grip on Poland, as it has in Italy these last few days...
I am at home as Monday is my day off.
Do you know I have applied for a Socrates grant to attend a two-week course in Exeter (Devon) in July. I hope they will give me the money..!
I am also organising a trip to Scotland for my ex students from the 30th of July to the 4th of August. We have already bought the flight tickets for the participants, which are 32 as of now, but I expect some more will join.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards.
